Nashville area based, Mike was raised in an Air Force family and grew up in a combination of California, Washington state, Oklahoma, Ohio, and Virginia. That rootlessness is reflected in his muwic. He has been a musician since he was a teenager. Many years spent on the road playing bass in various bands, has worked with many artists including Jeannie C. Riley, Billy Joe Royal, Roy Head, Larry Henley, Bruce Channel, Red Simpson, Hanley Page Band in Los Angeles, Rodney King, Goin' Home out of Ohio, Open Range in Bakersfield, Donnie Winters, Dave Isaacs, and many others. Now persuing a Nashville based solo career, he just released a full CD/Album "Things That Hurt...And Things That Feel Good" on September 1, 2025. This is a followup to his 2019 EP "It's Lost In Time". Over the last several years he has released 6 singles. "Things That hurt" in 2022. "Pull Away" and "Texas Size Heart" in 2023. "Way Back" in 2024, and "I'm Not A Kid Anymore" in 2025, which is currently nominated for Americana song of the year at the 2025 Josie Awards. All are produced by his friend and sometimes duo partner Bob Huston. Currently seeking and booking gigs and shows in Middle Tennessee and surrounding areas, and looking to expand into adjoining states.
